Abstract: Much has been said about CPEC. Some say it is a debt trap by China. While others claim that it is purely a business deal between two states. Pakistanis are perplexed, and the majority is unable to construe what the CPEC really is. The ongoing project has yet to take final shape. Chinese media says that the project is aimed to tie the everlasting knot of fraternity between two great nations. Pakistani media, just like Western media portrays a shadowy picture. This study is based on a simple question. What is CPEC? What are its dimensions and implications? How much good will it do to Pakistan and its surrounding countries? How can Pakistan benefit from it the most? This study is aimed to explore the perspectives and implications of CPEC.
